TECHNICIANS
Alyssa - Alyssa joined Chestnut Street Animal Hospital after completing one of her Mt. Ida internships with us. She graduated from Mt. Ida with a degree in veterinary technology this Spring and will be taking the boards to become a certified technician (CVT) soon. Alyssa adopted a beagle named Petunia from school who now lives with her parents and a cat named Skeeter who lives with Alyssa and who, Alyssa just discovered after walking in on him, taught himself to use the toilet; now she's just waiting for him to learn to flush.
Ann Marie, CVT - Ann Marie is a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) who graduated from Mount Ida College in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary Technology. She has 33 years of experience working at private practices and Angell. She has worked at CSAH since 2014. She and her family share their home with a snake, a few fish, their cat Vito and a Beagle named Baloo.
Caroline – Caroline grew up in rural Concord, MA surrounded by pets, wildlife and with a penchant for “saving and treating” foundling baby rabbits, caterpillars and stuffed animals. Now, as an adult with over 12 years of veterinary experience, she knows to leave baby rabbits where they are, has 100% track record curing stuffed animals, but, still has very little knowledge of caterpillar medicine. Caroline lives with her three cats: Gabriel, Jake and Elf.
Jess, CVT - Jess is a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT). She graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science in 2008. After working as a technician for CSAH in 2010, she went on to gain experience at Angell Memorial's Oncology department. Jess then then spent the next 4 years in Colorado Springs working in a private practice. During her time in Colorado, Jess also worked with exotic animals like tigers, lions, and yes, even bears, among many other exciting species. When her husband’s career in the Army was over, she and her husband, Joe, and their son moved back to Massachusetts. Upon her return, Jess was eager to return to Chestnut Street Animal Hospital. In addition to her human family, Jess currently lives with 2 dogs: Sully, a dachshund, and Brady, a Labrador/golden retriever mix.
Julie (“J”) – Julie has over 30 years of veterinary tech experience and has never imagined doing anything else. She lives with 1 dog and 2 cats.
Mary - Mary has worked at Chestnut Street Animal Hospital for 17 years. She lives with her husband and 3 dogs- Millie, Angie, and Winter.

Alec – Alec has worked at Chestnut Street Animal Hospital for over 12 years and has become a familiar and helpful face to our patients and clients. He has a bachelor’s degree from U-Mass Amherst in communication and has found himself involved in patient care for over 20 years. Before working with animals Alec was a chiropractic assistant/office manager in Waltham MA and an acupuncture assistant in Sarasota Florida. At home Alec enjoys the company of Lennox, a ten year old orange kitty, who was surrender to the clinic for health issues and now lives happily ever after.
Becky - Becky joined Chestnut Street Animal Hospital in Jan. 2017. She has worked at other clinics in the Metrowest area and still works at a local emergency specialty hospital, In addition to working in vet med, Becky also worked as an EMT for 5 years before returning to the veterinary world. In her spare time Becky loves to watch the Patriots, Bruins and the Red Sox; additionally, she just became an inducted into the Brighton Elks Lodge #2199. She shares her home with her girlfriend Helen and rescue pug Bubba.
Michelle - Michelle grew up in Dover, MA, She has worked at Chestnut Street Animal Hospital for over 13 years. Michelle started off as a client of Dr.’s Kelsey and Medley before joining the staff. Michelle is a graduate of Framingham State with a BA in Sociology. She lives with her German shepherd “Bruin”, 5 cats (Stella, Salem, Diva, Bear and Jag) and a parrot named “Shelby.'
